GENERAL DESCRIPTION Shipchecks, removes, fabricates, installs and tests various brackets and foundations for equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES Validates dimensions on drawings, determines deck and bulkhead materials, and determines best removal and installation route during a shipcheck. Fabricates foundations based on installation drawings, material provided, and shipcheck notes. Installs foundations according to drawings and other information provided. Tack welds, as necessary. Test foundation strength, as directed. Use various hand tools, drill press, welding machine, air compressor, generator, chain hoist, sandblaster, paint gun, grinder, band saw, forklift and other equipment to fabricate/install. Read and interpret engineering drawings and instructions. Knowledgeable and trained in safe work practices. Will support electrical and mechanical disciplines.

GENERAL DUTIES Operate power tools to foundate equipment. Assist in jobsite set-up, maintenance, restoration and securing. Prepare and clean up work area. Must be able to obtain a security clearance.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Provide own hand tools. Must be able to lift 40 lbs and climb ladders.
